Random Record: Supertramp ‘Crisis? What Crisis?

Crisis? What Crisis? was released in 1975 and the fourth studio album by British progressive rockers Supertramp. 

The artwork particularly caught my attention when I stumbled upon this album. Although this album was released back in 1975 I felt that even today the artwork is quite poignant. As humans, we often tend to sit back and ignore the chaos around us, especially nowadays with global warming and our economic crisis, for example. Obviously this is a sweeping statement and I know not true of everyone, however, most people have an air of nonchalance, much like the guy in the deckchair, and cast aside bigger issues. It’s surprising how much hasn’t changed in over 35 years.

Random Record: Pink Floyd ‘Relics’

During Pink Floyd‘s three decade long career the progressive rock band released fourteen studio albums, three live albums and eight compilations. So, if I asked you to name a Pink Floyd album, what would you say? Remember, you can’t go wrong with twenty-five records to choose from. And be honest now, don’t just say Relics because I’ve named it in the title!

I’m guessing the majority of you will have named the iconic: The Dark Side of the Moon. Or even Animals, The Wall or Wish You Were Here. Maybe you’d have also said Atom Heart Mother, you know, the one with the cow on the cover. Unless you were a hardcore fan I would have been very surprised if you’d have known Relics.
